Why-focused
I want to know the "why" of every facet of life, and my design mindset is no different. I analyze the needs of the user, place myself in their headspace, discover the "why" and "why not"—and then I get to work.
Making & Variety
As I worked during college, I have been a house framer, a guitar maker, a baker, a park builder, a 3D printer operator, and a handyman, to name a few. My familiarity with a variety of skills and environments has given me a grounded and unique understanding of successful design and the effort to make it successful in every way after it leaves my hands.
The Road to Design
Before Industrial Design, I was an artist with plans to be an animator. It wasn't for me, so I studied Architecture & Construction Management for a couple of years before discovering Industrial Design. I knew instantly I found my passion and never looked back, but the knowledge and perspectives of art and architecture still find their way into my designs and give me a unique look at approaching problems.
